Whenever I think about East Orange, NJ, the idea of a dangerous and not-so-great town pops into my mind. This place isn't the greatest in the world, but nowhere is a great place unless the person in it believes that to be true. I know EO can be better than its torn and shredded book cover, and I want others to know too. These photos come from my experiences in EO, showing the beauty in a not-so-beautiful place. Every so often I'll walk around the town, or go somewhere interesting that my camera simply had to tag along to see for itself, taking photos of the people and the places EO has to offer. So here they are! Think of this like a "photo journal," a kind of documentation of the place I grew up in. Check it out below!
